ABOUT
Me

My love for music began at a very early age.  As a 5 year old I enjoyed singing songs in performances at family gatherings.  By 7 or 8 I had my first stereo in my room along with a record player and a few of my parents' LPs including Purple Rain by Prince and Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band by the Beatles.  Later I enjoyed tapes in that same stereo with The Fixx - Reach the Beach and INXS - Kick recorded onto them as well as Talking Heads - Little Creatures and The Police Greatest Hits album.

At 10, I had saved up for my first portable CD player which I bought on the doorstep of a person's house from an ad in the paper for about $100. My first CD I bought myself was MC Hammer - Please Hammer Don't Hurt Em'.  What followed was an explosion of listening to everything I could get into my ears for years to come.  From AC/DC to Zedd, every kind of music that exists is music I have grown to enjoy and explore.  Now I'm ready and eager to join you in creating some.

I'm Daniel King.  I own and run a studio where we make sound recordings in a relaxed environment. I can also mix and master your already recorded tracks using industry proven tools and techniques. I've been working in music since I was a DJ at 18 years old.  I had always wanted to make the music I was spinning, and eventually began producing.  The studio grew from there into something capable of recording multiple tracks and turning sound into music.  There are many choices in recording, so IXI stands out by offering a space that is not public and doesn't have a front desk.  When you come here there is nothing standing in the way between you and your creative drive.

Education:

HS: Pflugerville HS, Texas Academy for Leadership through the Humanities.

College: UT - Bachelor's in Psychology,

Texas State - Master of Science in Health Services Research.

Psychology is highly relevant to music production in a number of ways.  Knowledge in the area provides an opportunity to create a space where creativity is able to thrive.  Capability in the area of study and research is also highly relevant.  I will be using the same observational acuity and attention to detail to pursue excellence in recording, mixing, mastering, and/or production.
